Q. Can ScanVue DB be used for entering data from color photos or small images like invoices?
A. Absolutely, all of the features of ScanVue DB work equally well on small documents, photos, or large blueprints. For large quantities, we recommend the scanning bureau product ScanVue Entry.

Q. How do I view and advance through the images in the View Mode?
A. After opening the first image, you can either use the mouse or keyboard to move through the images in alpha-numeric order. The "Right Arrow" will open the next image and the "Left Arrow" will open the previous image.

Q. How do I view images for quality, before I perform costly editing processes?
A. While in the View Mode, you may pre-select to display single or all images in a directory to be rotated in 90 degree increments before any unnecessary processing.

Q. Can I enlarge certain portions of an image "On the Fly" to check for image quality?
A. You can use the "Flying Magnifying Glass" feature to inspect any portion in either View or View/Database Mode. You can also select the degree of magnification and the size of the magnifier.

Q. Do I use split screens or swap back and forth between the image and data entry windows?
A. No, the fields for data entry and the image are on the same viewing window.

Q. How are the data entry fields set up and how many are they?
A. You can choose up to 100 different data fields, enter any title/heading for each, and select any of the fields to accept data. The path and filename data of each image is also saved.

Q. How can I find the image I want to see and print?
A. Simply type in any amount of information about an image that has been entered in any of the fields, click on a button and you can view all fields containing that information. Double Click on the selected field to view the image.

Q. How is the data saved?
A. All of the data entered and saved is saved as an standard ASCII comma delimited text file. 

Q. What is, and how can I use an ASCII file?
A. A standard ASCII text file is considered a "Universal" file and can be imported into practically any spreadsheet or database. Although there are many different databases on the market, an ASCII file can be imported directly into most.

Q. How can the database files or images be printed?
A. Choosing the print function allows the selection of different options for the printing of all or portions of an image (including photos) as well as all or portions of the database using your Windows printer
